Future Watch: Kalle Kossila Rookie Hockey Cards, Ducks – Kalle Kossila was signed by the Anaheim Ducks in 2016. He had a strong college career and he’s been able to put up points at every level so far. This Finn was a star for St. Cloud State. During his tenure with the team he had 153 career points in 157 games. If it weren’t for injuries slowing him down his point total could have been even higher.

Kossila started his pro hockey career playing for the San Diego Gulls in the AHL.  He got in a quick six games after his NCAA career ended. In those games, he got four points.

In 2017, he played one game for the Ducks and then that lit his fuse. He had 14 goals and 48 points in 65 games in his rookie season. Last season he got in ten games with Anaheim netting two points. Once again, he was dialed in when he was in the AHL. He had 21 goals and 54 points in 55 games.

He’s played in the playoffs twice for San Diego getting eight points in 17 games. He just signed a new contract with the Ducks, so they think he can possibly contribute at the NHL level in this upcoming season.

Kossila has the kind of skill to pull off this lacrosse-style goal:

Kalle Kossila has a Young Guns rookie card in 2017-18 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey. You can also find rookie cards of Kossila in other current year Upper Deck NHL licensed hockey products including SP Authentic, ICE, and O-Pee-Chee to name a few.

Keep an eye on this guy. He will get a lot of opportunities to make the team out of training camp and in preseason games. He has the kind of skill and mobility that NHL players need to be successful. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has that kind of impact this season. He’s 25, but he still has time.
