Future Watch: Kristian Robinson Rookie Baseball Cards, Diamondbacks – Kristian Robinson was signed as an international free agent by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2017. He hails from the Bahamas. Only six players have made it to the big leagues out of the Bahamas and Robinson is expected to be the seventh which would be quite an achievement.

This 6-3 center fielder has a frame he can add some muscle too over time. He was ranked as the 15th best prospect recently by MLB Pipeline and he’s only 19, he has a bright future ahead.

According to his MLB.com Prospect Profile:

Robinson is a physical specimen who generates massive raw power to all fields and already has shown that he can apply it during games. His understanding of the strike zone and plate discipline stands out given his age and lack of experience. Those qualities, along with his explosive swing, give Robinson a chance to be at least an average hitter. He has the speed, range, and instincts for center field, though, with so much physical projection remaining, there is a chance he’ll outgrow the spot, in which he’ll fit nicely at either outfield corner. Robinson has the highest ceiling of any player in Arizona’s system as a slugger who also has feel to hit and the potential to stick in center field. While the early returns have been impressive, the D-backs continue to preach patience with regards to Robinson’s development, as they note that coming from the Bahamas isn’t the same as coming from a place like the Dominican Republic in terms of experience. At the same time, it’s hard not to get excited about a player that oozes as much potential as Robinson. ETA 2022.

  • 2018 – Rookie Ball – Two teams – 7-41, .279 12 steals
  • 2019 – Combined A-Ball – Two Teams – 14-51, .282, 17 steals

Kristian Robinson already has several baseball cards. To date, his most popular, and expensive cards are his Prospect Autographs 2018 Bowman Chrome. In subsequent years, he has had cards in 2019 Topps, Bowman and Leaf products.

Here’s a look at him slamming the ball for the Hillsborough Hops.

Robinson is a natural. He has all the elements that collectors love. Collect him or else. He’s only a few year’s away and then he’s going to be hitting dingers in the Arizona sunset.
