Future Watch: Kyle Lewis Rookie Baseball Cards, MarinersFuture Watch: Kyle Lewis Rookie Baseball Cards, Mariners – Kyle Lewis was selected by the Seattle Mariners 11th overall in the 2016 MLB Entry Draft. At 6′-4″, 210 pounds the Shiloh High School star outfielder has quite a resume already.

He hails from Snellville, GA and after high school he went undrafted for three years. During that time, he honed his craft at Mercer University in Macon Georgia. Last season he finally got noticed. He hit a staggering .394, slugged 20 home runs and drove in 72 in just 61 games. His three-year totals include a .364 average with 39 homers and 145 RBI. No wonder Seattle selected him this time around.

After the draft, he was sent to A- ball. Playing for the Everett AquaSox he got into 30 games. He drove in 26 with 3 home runs, 8 doubles and 5 triples. He stole three bases without being thrown out and hit .299 as a professional. That’s a very productive season.

Kyle Lewis has Chrome Draft Picks Autograph in 2016 Bowman Draft Baseball. You can also find autographed cards of this potential phenom in 2016 Bowman’s Best Baseball and 2016 Leaf Metal Draft Baseball.

According to his MLB.com draft profile:

With his leverage and bat speed, Lewis has easy pop to all fields. His swing is busier than most scouts would like, but his approach is generally sound and he ranked second among D-I hitters with a program-record 66 walks during the spring. Lewis is a fringy runner out of the batter’s box, but he has solid speed once he gets going. Some evaluators think he has a chance to stay in center field, but most believe he’s destined for right field, where he could develop into a serious home run threat with average or better tools across the board. ETA 2018.

Here’s a look at his sweet swing going yard:

He’s a few years away but something tells me we will hear a lot more about this prospect when spring training officially starts.
