Future Watch: Las Vegas Raiders Football Cards, trio to collect – The Raiders have been known for drafting some of the best athletes coming out of college football. Although their success has been muted with inconsistent play, they still have a knack for finding terrific athletes. The organization has done a nice job of compiling draft picks in the last few drafts, and those players are improving every season. This list has no shortage of talent, and collectors should be excited about these players.

Josh Jacobs was selected with the 24th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. While most teams worry about spending a first-rounder on a running back, the Raiders are one of the few who don’t care, and as a result, they have a star. Jacobs was on the 2018 Alabama team that beat Georgia in the National Championship game. It’s good to draft winners and former teammates, which they did for Jacobs when they also picked up Henry Ruggs III (more on him in a minute). That creates a good locker room chemistry. Jacobs is a massive part of the Raiders’ offense. He’s gained over 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons, and last season Jacobs had 61 first down rushes out of 273 carries. Jacobs not only hits the hole hard, but can also be tough to catch after. He’s still undervalued in the hobby.

Henry Ruggs III was drafted 12th overall in 2020. His best moment at Alabama was his touchdown catch in the win over Georgia in the 2018 National Championship Game as a true freshman. This talented wide receiver ran a top speed of 23 miles per hour in a college game, and a 4.27 in the 40-yard dash at the 2020 NFL Combine. Ruggs is tied for the second-highest vertical jump in the history of the Combine at 42 inches. In his third professional game, Ruggs caught two balls for 118 yards and a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hunter Renfrow/strong> was drafted in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. At 5-10, 185, and being a sure-handed wide receiver, this player reminds me of Raiders legend Fred Biletnikoff. Renfrow played his college ball at Clemson as a walk on. His big moment occurred in the 2017 National Championship Game against Alabama where he caught the game-winning touchdown with one second remaining in the game. Renfrow runs great routes to go along with being very reliable. Last season he caught 72.7% of the passes thrown his way.
