Future Watch: Liam Foudy Hockey Cards, Columbus Blue Jackets – Liam Foudy was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets with the 18th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. At 6-1, 181 pounds this prospect was known for his physical fitness as much as his play. His brother, Jean-Luc is a notable prospect in the upcoming 2020 NHL Draft.

In 2016-17, this pivot joined the London Knights for his debut season. He had nine goals and six helpers in 58 regular season games, but went pointless in 13 playoff games. In 2017-18, Foudy’s number went up as he potted 24 goals and added 16 assists for 40 points in 65 regular season games. and a goal and an assist in four playoff games. During that season, Foudy also played in the CHL Top Prospects Game.

In 2018-19, Foudy had a stellar season, counting 36 goals and 32 assists in 62 regular season games and added six goals and six assists in 11 playoff games with the Knights before joining the Cleveland Monsters playoff run in the AHL. In eight games, Foudy had two goals.

In 2019-20, Foudy wore the “C” for London and put up 28 goals and 40 assists in 45 games. He also collected a gold medal representing Team Canada in the U20 2020 World Junior Championship. Foudy also played in two NHL games on emergency recall and counted an assist.

Collectors can get his rookie card in 2020-21 Upper Deck MVP and future releases. He has other cards in Upper Deck CHL from 2017-18 and 2018-19, and Canada Juniors in 2018.

When the NHL resumed, Foudy had a strong “summer camp” and made the Blue Jackets playoff roster. He had two points in 10 NHL playoff games. 2020 has spring boarded Foudy to another level, but collectors should pick him up now before he goes even higher next season.
