Future Watch: Maxx Crosby Rookie Football Cards, Raiders

Future Watch: Maxx Crosby Rookie Football Cards, RaidersMaxx Crosby was drafted by the Oakland Raiders with the 106th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The 6-5, 257-pound defensive end is a handful to deal with if you’re the opposition.

In 2016 at Eastern Michigan, he played in 13 games. He had 11 solo tackles, and 35 in total.

In 2017, he played in 12 games with 31 solo tackles and 57 in total. He returned one of his forced fumbles for a touchdown as well. That netted him MAC Player of the Week honors.

In 2018, he played in 12 games. He had 31 solo tackles with 70 tackles. He had a block, four forced fumbles, one interception that he returned for a touchdown.

At the NFL Combine, he ran a 4.66-40-yard dash and 122 inches in the broad jump. Those freaky good numbers helped keep his stock fairly high.

Through the first three weeks, he had nine tackles and a forced fumble with two passes defended. The next week he had two sacks totaling 13 yards in losses for the opposition. Against Houston, he had six solo tackles and a forced fumble. His best game came against the Bengals in Week 11 where he had four solo tackles, a forced fumble, four sacks that created 42 yards of lost yardage for the Cincinnati Bengals. Those four sacks were a franchise rookie record. This season he has 12 tackles for losses. He has missed just three snaps on the season!

His only card so far this year is a Panini Instant card for his Week 11 heroics.

Crosby is rapidly going up the list of the best defensive rookies in the NFL. Many have him inside the Top 25 and rising with more games left in the season. He probably won’t win the Defensive Rookie of the Year award but he’s a player on the rise and should be collected.
