Future Watch: Myles Garrett Rookie Football Cards, Browns – Myles Garrett was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He grew up in the Dallas area but will now spend a lot of his time in Ohio.

His mother and sister were track stars in college and his older brother, Sean, played in the NBA. He played for the Nets and was the 17th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. This is one talented family.

Myles starred at Texas A&M. His 11.5 sacks as a freshman earned him All-SEC honors and he was a Freshman All-American. In 2016, his sophomore season he still had some of these honors as he had 12.5 sacks and five forced fumbles. In his third season, he battled a knee injury but was still named a first team All-American with 8.5 sacks in just 11 games.

At 6′-4″, 272 pounds he entered the NFL Draft. Some were surprised he went first overall. The Browns knew what they wanted and they were eager, along with the fans, to see him.

In training camp, he got a high ankle sprain delaying his NFL debut until last week against the hot New York Jets. In that game, he got two sacks and he was a thorn in the side of the Jets offensive line for most of the day.

When you’re the #1 pick there is never a shortage of your cards in the hobby. However, it is interesting to note that he currently does not have any autographed cards in the market, NFL licensed or otherwise.

Garrett is special. His team isn’t, so it will take a few years as they transform themselves into a winning franchise. In the meantime, collectors can stock up on his cards waiting to see if he can be best one of the best defensive ends in the future.
