Future Watch: Parris Campbell Rookie Football Cards, Colts – Parris Campbell was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts with the 59th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. A star wide receiver who made sure everyone noticed him at the Ohio State University.
In 2015, he only appeared in four games with a catch. He got more playing time in 2016, appearing in 12 games with 13 catches, 121 yards and no touchdowns, but he did have a rushing touchdown. He still wasn’t an integral part of the offense.
In 2017, he played in 13 games and had 40 receptions for 584 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 10 rushes for 132 yards and a touchdown. This is a step in the right direction. As a senior in 2018, he played in 14 games and had 1,063 yards and 12 touchdowns. In 2017, he was second-team All-Big Ten, but his last year he was voted to the first team.
Going into the combine he was expected to run well since he was a former track and field competitor in high school. He ran a spectacular 4.31, 40-yard dash. The 6-0, 205-pound receiver was now on a lot of team’s radar.
Going into the pros he wouldn’t be playing the H-back position and that may have scared off a few teams. The Colts saw the promise and wanted to give Andrew Luck another target. As we all know now, he will have to build chemistry with Jacoby Brissett.
Collectors can find rookie cards of him in 2019 Donruss Elite, Contenders Draft Picks, Origins, Absolute, Prizm Draft Picks, and 2019 Leaf Valiant to name a few.
Here’s a look at his ability:
Campbell got hurt in training camp. It was nothing serious and he did get into his first game in Week One. He had a catch for one yard and a rush for seven yards. Indy will start calling more plays for him as you think about collecting him.
