Future Watch: Rocco Grimaldi Hockey Rookie Cards, Florida Panthers – The Florida Panthers expect big things from their, svelt 5-6, 181 pound center, Rocco Grimaldi. At 22, he got a taste of the NHL last year with a 7-game stint. In the AHL he had 42 points for the San Antonio Rampage. Which was a solid rookie effort and now he will get every opportunity to make the big club.

Grimaldi has had a very interesting career. He has an impressive international resume that includes an U-18 gold medal in 2010, and another gold medal in 2013 for the U-20 squad.

In college, he played for the University of North Dakota and has appeared in the Frozen Four with a chance to win a national championship. While that didn’t happen, one thing is clear, he’s a winner.

He will run through a wall to make a play and he has a nose for the net. He won’t be a prolific scorer in the NHL but he should be a consistent one.

Grimaldi is currently playing in the Panthers rookie tournament he’s impressing those who matter and his solid two-way game should find him a spot on the opening day roster.

Rocco Grimaldi’s rookie card exists in several different Upper Deck sets released during the 2014-15 season including:
