The talented center marinated in the minors for a while but now he’s almost ready to be a primetime player.

After four seasons with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL, he had three long playoff runs where he played 51 games in all and scored 26 goals, getting 45 points in all. His top regular season was in 2014-15 where he potted 48 goals in just 58 games!

Internationally he won a gold medal in the 2013-14 Hlinka Memorial scoring three points in five games. In 2015-16 he did get a chance to play for Team Canada in the U20s where he had two points in five games.

In 2016-17 he turned pro and the pivot scored 17 goals and 35 points in 67 games in the AHL with the Barracuda. In seven playoff games, he had six points.

The next season he was limited to just 28 games where he had 21 points. He was a point-per-game in the playoffs with three in three.

In 2018-19 he played with the Barracuda and the Sharks. He got recalled multiple times. In the AHL he had six goals and 18 points in 26 games. With the Sharks, he had one point in 13 games.

Collectors can find cards of his in 2018-19 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey, Canada Juniors and O-Pee-Chee to name a few.

Here’s a look at his one NHL goal so far:

He has talent but the Sharks are deep at the center position. At some point, you may see him playing every day in San Jose. Collectors should keep an eye on his progress. He’s watching the Sharks in the 2018-19 Western Conference Final this year. Next year could be different.
