Future Watch: San Francisco Giants Baseball Cards, Top Five Prospects – The San Francisco Giants are an organization loaded with young talent, and many of them will get a chance to make the big club in the future as the organization is rebuilding from the bottom up.

Joey Bart is a strong catcher who was drafted second overall in 2018. His 6-2, the 238-pound frame helps propel him to the top of the prospect list. Bart played in 33 games last year getting his feet wet and his home run potential should start to emerge in 2021. With Buster Posey back in the fold, Bart will be competing for playing time.

Marco Luciano was signed as an international prospect in 2018. The 6-2 shortstop has good bat speed and some power already, and when he fills out, hopefully, more than what’s been shown in the last two seasons. In 2019, playing rookie league ball, this prospect hit ten home runs and drove in 38 in 38 games! Last season, Luciano showed his wares during intrasquad play.

Heliot Ramos is an international prospect who last patrolled the outfield for the Richmond Flying Squirrels in 2019. While there, he slugged 13 home runs and 18 doubles. His on-base percentage improved dramatically, and the Giants took notice; that helps at the next level. Ramos didn’t get to partake in instructional league ball last season due to an oblique injury. Fans will see him in spring training in late February.

Alexander Canario
was signed back in 2016 as an amateur free agent from the Dominican Republic. The 6-1 center field prospect has a nice blend of power and speed. His career numbers of 27 home runs and 118 RBI with 30 steals and a .291 average in 647 at-bats is productive. Canario had labrum surgery last season and is expected to fully recover.

Hunter Bishop was drafted 10th overall in 2019. This centerfielder hit .342 with 22 home runs and 63 RBI in 57 games at Arizona State University. This left-handed hitter has a natural power stroke that will get him to the majors in the next few seasons.

Collectors should be excited to see Giants players come up when they’re ripping packs. The team has room for these players to eventually win jobs at the major league level if all breaks right. They’re a good team to take in a group break situation for sure.
