Baseball Cards, Oakland Athletics – Seth Brown
was drafted by the Oakland A’s in the 19th round of the 2015 MLB Amateur Draft. This slugger has been on a mission that probably took a bit longer than expected.

Brown first starred at North Medford High School in Oregon. In his senior year, he was voted All-Southwest Conference and second-team OSAA Class 6A All-State. His next step was Linn-Benton Community College and later transferred to Lewis-Clark State College. After redshirting his junior season, Brown hit .386 with 23 homers and 82 RBI (second in the NAIA) in his senior year and led his team to a NAIA World Series victory.

In 2015, Brown played for two different teams in rookie ball, hitting three homers, 35 RBI, 20 doubles and five triples in 68 games. One year later, Brown  competed in Class-A and hit eight homers and drove in 53 in 127 games.

In 2017, Brown was in Advanced-A and slugged 30 homers and had 109 RBI. The year following, Brown moved up to AA and hit 38 doubles, three triples, 14 homers and 90 RBI.

In 2019, Brown played in AAA and broke out. He hit 29 doubles, six triples, 37 home runs with 104 RBI and a .297 batting average. He got called up to the A’s that season and in 26 games hit eight doubles, two triples, and drove in 13 runs.

Brown made his cardboard debut in 2018’s Topps Heritage Minors. This year features his rookie cards, which thus far has included Bowman Chrome, Finest and Stadium Club among other products.

In 2020, Brown made the Day Camp roster and when the rosters got trimmed, he was sent to the taxi squad. Thus far he has had one call-up to the majors in 2020. Watch this guy, he has late-blooming left-handed power; he just needs a chance.
