Future Watch: Shane Prince Hockey Rookie Cards, Ottawa Senators

Future Watch: Shane Prince Hockey Rookie Cards, Ottawa Senators – A lot of organizations have prospects who have great energy on the ice. They can score and they seem destined for the NHL. However, more often than not, they have to round out their game. Shane Prince is one of those players and that’s why at the age of 23 he is just now playing with the big club, the Ottawa Senators.

Drafted 61st overall in 2011 this talented winger has had to work hard to finally make it. He’s still going to have to put up a few more points then he has in his first 11 games (3 assists) if he wants to stay. It’s all part of the learning process.

He scored 67 goals in the AHL for Binghamton and yet in 13 NHL games he’s still looking for his first goal. That’s not uncommon. He’s trying to put it all together and he’s finally gotten his first long look by the club.

He plays hard, he’s a good skater and he has a lot of character. Something tells me he will succeed. He’s a likable guy and fans are really hoping he can become a regular. He got this chance because of an injury. He has to make the most of it because one never knows when the next opportunity will come along.

At just 5′-10″ he has to play a complete game. He gets pretty close to that most nights. Even though the youngster played two games last year, Upper Deck chose to wait and release his rookie cards this year. 2015-16 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey and 2015-16 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey are two good choices to find his cards and a lot more considering this is a very talented rookie pool again this year.

Here is a heartwarming video covering his early days:

Prince will creep up on some, but not you ;).
