The Oakland, California native is 6-2, 250 pounds and that’s the right measurables to play the defensive end position.

Staying in the “The Golden State” this talented player eventually attended UCLA a legendary program after he transferred from Contra Costa College in 2013.

In 2014, he played in 10 games for UCLA, but he only made one start and had 2.5 sacks. In 2015, he started in 12 of 13 games and he had 35 tackles and 3.5 sacks. The next season was his senior year and he crushed it getting 10 sacks heading into the NFL Draft and he was voted to the All-Pac-12 team.

McKinley participated in the combine but afterwards he needed surgery for a torn labrum and a fracture in his shoulder socket. The prognosis was 4-6 months of rehab. That didn’t scare the Falcons.

McKinley played in all 16 games for the Falcons. He had a good season getting 20 tackles and six sacks. He was heading into the playoffs and unlike most rookies he saw a lot of action.

On January 6th in a 26-13 win over the Los Angeles Rams he had three tackles a sack and a deflected pass.

The next week he played against the Philadelphia Eagles. He had two tackles and one sack in that game. The Falcons lost a tough 15-10 game, but the experience McKinley got was priceless.

Collectors can find rookie cards of him in 2017 Panini Prestige, Classics and Donruss Football. If you’re looking for something in his UCLA uniform, Leaf and Sage HIT have some cards of him as well.
