Future Watch: Top NFL Rookie Performances – Week Eight, 2015 – Here is a look at some of the top NFL rookie performances, by position, from week eight of the 2015 NFL season. Todd Gurley continues to impress and is becoming the clear favorite for the NFL Rookie if the Year award.

Quarterback

Jameis Winston (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – 1st Overall Pick – Florida State: Threw 16-for-29 with 177 yards and a touchdown, good for a QB Rating of 85 in the Bucs’ 23-20 win, in overtime, against the Atlanta Falcons.

Running Back

Todd Gurley (St. Louis Rams) – 1st Round, 10th Overall Pick – Georgia:  Had 20 carries for 133 yards (6.7 avg.) and a 71-yard touchdown run in the Rams’ 27-6 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Wide Receiver

Stefon Diggs (Minnesota Vikings) – 5th Round, 146th Overall Pick – Maryland: Recorded six catches for 95 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings’ 23-20 win against the Chicago Bears.

Defense

Kwon Alexander (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – 4th Round, 124th Overall Pick – LSU: Posted 11 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the Buccaneers’ 23-20 overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons.
