Future Watch: Top NFL Rookie Performances – Week Nine, 2015 – Here is a look at some of the top NFL rookie performances, by position, from week nine of the 2015 NFL season. Jeremy Langford stepped up filling in for the injured Matt Forte to show Chicago Bears fans that he is the heir apparent.

Quarterback

Marcus Mariota (Tennessee Titans) – 1st Round, 2nd Overall Pick – Oregon: Mariota was absolutely stellar in the Titans’ 34-28 overtime win against the New Orleans Saints. He was 28-39 for 371 yards and four touchdowns for a QB Rating of 135.7

Running Back(s)

Karlos Williams (Buffalo Bills) – 5th Round, 155th Overall Pick – Florida State: Rushed for 110 yards on just nine carries for a 12.2 yards-per-carry average. He score two touchdowns in the Bills’ 33-17 win over the Dolphins.

Jeremy Langford (Chicago Bears) – 4th Round, 106th Overall Pick – Michigan State: Filling in for injured starter Matt Forte, Langford rushed for 72 yards on 18 carries (4.0 yards-per-carry) and one touchdown. He was also effective out of the backfield with three receptions for 70 yards in the Bears’ 22-19 win over the Chargers.

Wide Receiver

Amari Cooper (Oakland Raiders) – 1st Round, 4th Overall Pick – Alabama: Put up seven catches for 88 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders’ 35-38 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Defense

Jordan Hicks, Linebacker (Philadelphia Eagles) – 3rd Round, 84th Overall Pick – Texas: Recorded six tackles and a 67-yard interception-return touchdown in the Eagles’ 33-27 overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys.
