Future Watch: Top NFL Rookie Performances – Week Six, 2015 – Here is a look at some of the top NFL rookie performances, by position, from week six of the 2015 NFL season. Defensive players dominated this week with several outstanding performances.

Quarterback

Marcus Mariota (Tennessee Titans) – 1st Round, 2nd Overall Pick – Oregon: Winner by default, Mariota had a dreadful performance this week. He was 21-33 for 219 yards and one touchdown. However, he also had 2 interceptions, 5 sacks and 2 fumbles in the Titans’ 10-38 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Running Back

Ameer Abdullah (Detroit Lions) – 2nd Round, 54th Overall Pick – Nebraska: Had 14 carries for 48 yards and three receptions for an additional 21 yards in the Lions’ 37-34 overtime win against the Chicago Bears.

Wide Receiver

Stefon Diggs (Minnesota Vikings) – 5th Round, 146th Overall Pick – Maryland: Caught seven passes for 129 yards in the Vikings’ 16-10 win against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Special Teams

Chris Boswell, Kicker (Pittsburgh Steelers) – 1st Year Player – Rice: Went 4-for-4 in field goals with an extra point for 13 total points in the Steelers’ 25-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Defense

Hau’oli Kikaha, Outside Linebacker (New Orleans Saints) – 2nd Round, 44th Overall – Washington: Recorded seven tackles, a sack and forced a fumble in the Saints’ 31-21 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Eric Kendricks, Inside Linebacker (Minnesota Vikings) – 2nd Round, 45th Overall – UCLA: Had 10 tackles, a sack and a pass defensed against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Vikings’ 16-10 victory.

Marcus Peters, Cornerback (Kansas City Chiefs) – 1st Round, 18th Overall Pick – Washington: Recorded six tackles, an interception and two passes defensed in the team’s 16-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
