Born in Elkhorn, Manitoba, a town of less than 500, according to statistics available, he’s easily the most identifiable person from that area and everyday he makes them proud.

The tall, rangy defenseman had three solid years with the Calgary Hitmen, of the WHL. In total, he had 35 goals and 127 assists good for 162 points in 186 games. Those are solid numbers for any player let alone a defenseman.

He’s had good international numbers as well. He represented Team Canada in the 2013-14 U18 tournament and the 2015-16 U20 World Junior Championships. He did manage to get a bronze medal in 2014 and his seven points in those 12 games were very solid.

This talented rookie managed to get in four games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in 2016. In four AHL games he had three points. Some were hoping he could make the big club last year but the organization decided to send him back and he had a complete season playing in all 76 games! He scored 10 goals and got 27 assists. In the playoffs, he had three points in five games.

This season, he made the Flyers team out of camp. In his first 24 games, he only had four assists but his all-around game was improving and he was getting better each game.

Travis Sanheim has NHL licensed, Young Guns rookie card, in 2017-18 Upper Deck Hockey Series 1. He also has cards in 2017-18 Black Diamond. In addition, collectors can expect to see him in other 2017-18 Upper Deck Hockey releases as well.
