Future Watch: Trevor Lawrence is Getting Ready For His Big Day – The 2020-21 NFL season decided where Trevor Lawrence was going to play his NFL for the next decade at least. When the Jets won their second game of the season, they changed the direction of the top of the draft. That win, coupled with a lot of Jacksonville Jaguars losses, decided where Lawrence would play his professional football.

Lawrence is 21, he’s married, and he’s grounded. That’s good news for Jaguars fans. He was a star at Clemson. In the season opener against Wake Forest, he set team records with 351 yards and 327 yards of total offense. He won the ACC Quarterback of the Week and never looked back.

Lawrence can play a pro-style offense. He has a strong arm, but he also has that necessary escape ability that they all need when behemoths are trying to chase them down. When he was clocked, Lawrence ran a 4.7 in the 40-yard dash. When he’s getting chased, when he does a pump fake to freeze the opposition, then he can run past them with decent speed. When you package that deception and the speed, that’s what will make him dangerous. Well, one of the things in his arsenal.[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wT3Ngbbt5WY[/embedyt]

Lawrence has an exceptional throwing speed. He was clocked at 61 MPH. Jared Goff and Carson Wentz threw 57. Patrick Mahomes threw 55. In the old days, we would just make a mental note that a player had a strong arm and have fun comparing, but now there is data to back this up, and he’s already placing himself in familiar company.

Lawrence will have a massive impact on the hobby. All first overall NFL picks do, but this one is different. This one has already made some waves in a recent NFL interview. There was nothing that you wouldn’t expect in there, but the point is the world is ready to listen to what he has to say, and they’ll all be watching him play this year. The demand for his cards will be great. The demand will be greater for him than it was for Joe Burrow the 2020 top pick. This one has nothing to do with talent, they’re both loaded with that, and I give Lawrence the edge in that, and he is also a headline maker. I recognize that. As a young boy, I saw Joe Namath make headlines.

The 2021 NFL Draft will be special. There will be a lot of quarterbacks taken in the Top 10 if it all goes to plan. This is where the league is, so get ready to learn about a lot of them. They are the most important position in the game and maybe in pro sports. Lawrence will create a lot of energy at the NFL Draft and, I am looking forward to that.
