Future Watch: Will Grier Rookie Football Cards, PanthersWill Grier was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. This quarterbacks career path was a bit different than some.

In 2014, he attended the University of Florida and was promptly redshirted. In 2015, he competed with Treon Harris (never drafted) and lost. He only threw the ball 160 times that season but he completed 105 of them for a 65.5 pass completion percentage. He threw for 1,202 yards and 10 touchdowns with only three interceptions. He ran in two touchdowns as well. That boded well for the next season.

He had a brush with a performance-enhancing drug suspension (he said it was an over the counter supplement), so he was suspended for the first six games in 2016. When he was eligible to come back, the announced he transferred to another school and in April of 2016, it was revealed that it was the University of West Virginia.

He re-started his career in 2017. He played in 11 games that year. He ended up breaking his finger after throwing for just 3,490 yards at a 64.4 pass completion percentage and tossing 34 touchdowns against 12 picks. He ran in two more touchdowns as well. He was later named the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year.

In 2018, he returned for his senior season. He passed for 3,864 yards and an incredible 37 touchdowns against eight interceptions. He added three rushing touchdowns and his pass completion percentage was a cool 67%. He was named to the Second-team All-Big 12. After announcing he won’t be playing in a bowl game, he prepared for the NFL Draft.

Here’s a look at his college career:

Collectors can find rookie cards of him in Contenders Draft Picks, Score, Prizm Draft Picks, Leaf Metal Draft, and Sage HIT to name a few.

He’s a guy who can really throw the ball. Cam Newton is in front of him, so he’ll start off his Panthers career carrying a clipboard. Collect him before he becomes a potential starter in the league.
