Hobby Musings: 2021-22 Topps Bundesliga SoccerHobby Musings: 2021-22 Topps Bundesliga Soccer – 2021-22 Topps Chrome Bundesliga Soccer will be hitting the market later this month. Before it streets, I had a chance to crack a box of Topps’ non-chrome Bundesliga product. Featuring the league’s top players, each box contains 24 packs with eight cards per pack. The checklist is expansive, as it includes 200 base cards.

Hobby Musings: 2021-22 Topps Bundesliga SoccerEach box comes with a plethora of parallel cards, including 12 Sparkle Foil cards. Parallels all the way down to 1/1s can be found. My own box’s parallel highlight came in the form of a Niklas Dorsch red foilboard card numbered to 5. I also came away with three other numbered parallel cards, including a Dominik Kohr silver foil parallel numbered to 75. All in all, the foilboard parallels added some nice sparkle to the box. While I would have loved to have come away with a 1/1, the Dorsch numbered to 5 was a nice get.

Aside from the parallel cards, there were some other nice inserts that I found in the box. Among all of them, my favorites were the Future Stars cards. With a rainbow color scheme on them, the cards tended to stick out in a good way among the others in the box. The Golden Celebration insert of Karim Bellarabi that I pulled also featured a nice design. Overall, insert chasers should come away feeling satisfied.

Bundesliga2While the inserts/parallels are a nice draw of the box, hit collectors will need patience with this one. Autographs are possible, but they are no sure thing as they fall one in every five boxes. However, there are big names to be had among the ink, including Alphonso Davies.

With that in mind, if you’re someone who likes a longer rip with plenty of cards to chase, Topps Bundesliga can help scratch that itch. Especially if you’re a fan of the league and its players. For collectors, it’s a chance to chase cards of soccer players they may not normally get.

I wouldn’t have minded seeing a little more variety in the photos used for the cards. Some more action is great for the images after all. All in though, I was pleased with this box and what it had to offer. Another plus side of this product is that it’s a cost-effective rip right now. Some of the bigger online retailers have it listed at about $40. Considering what some retail-only products will run you now, that’s not a bad price at all for what you can potentially pull.
