After a dramatic season, MLB’s playoff match-ups are set. Thy will feature some annual contenders with passionate collector bases including the Dodgers, Cardinals, Giants, A’s and Tigers. They will also play host to some new arrivals to post-season success including the Orioles, Royals and Nationals who have loyal collecting followings of their own. The playoffs always have the capability of producing lasting moments that create instant collectibility for any given player on any given team. Are you ready with a stockpile of key rookie cards of players participating in the post-season? You never know who the next playoff hero will be or what kind of customer will waltz into your store asking for cards of that player.
Additionally, the opening of the 2014-15 NHL season will be getting underway later this week. This summer’s draft produced a tremendous number of high profile players whose debut with their teams could happen rather quickly. When that happens, they will be officially eligible for their rookie cards.
