Leaf Releases 2014 Originals Football; Retro Designs with On-Card Autographs
Latest release features classic Leaf designs from 1948 and 1960 and a ‘Hot Rookie Redemption’ card worth waiting for!
Carrollton, TX (March 27, 2014) – Something old is something new again, and that’s just the case with Leaf Trading Cards’ latest release: 2014 Originals Football. Combining retro designs from Leaf’s 1948 and 1960 archives, the Dallas-based card manufacturer has delivered another exciting football set to its rabid collector base. This week, the product hits with an autographed checklist that knows no bounds.
“We’ve made sure to cover all the bases by including the biggest names who are projected to go high in May’s NFL Draft,” said Leaf President Brian Gray. “With on-card autographs from players like Johnny Manziel, AJ McCarron, Blake Bortles, Sammy Watkins, Kelvin Benjamin, Tajh Boyd and Jadeveon Clowney, you really can’t go wrong.”
Bringing the most exciting prospects together in a throwback style set will provide plenty of excitement for collectors. Beyond the unnumbered 1948-style base on-card autographs, which include multiple color parallels as limited as 1-of-1, Leaf has produced a “1948 Originals Alternate-Art” autographed subset that features the classic ’48 design with limited parallels starting at 25 and dropping down to 1! The “1960 Originals Autographs” subset once again sports the classic card design and features a throwback look at today’s hottest young draft picks! There are all on-card autographs in this subset with colored parallels starting at 50 and winding down to 1!
Rounding out the set is a special “Masterworks” autographed art card insert lineup that include a number of 2014’s top draft picks. Every single art card is a unique piece of art and therefore registers as a 1-of-1. Finally, like last year’s offering, Leaf has included randomly seeded “Hot Rookie Redemption” cards that will be good this time around for 2013 Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston’s signed Florida State mini helmet!
Each box of 2014 Leaf Originals Football includes five autographed cards per box with 12 boxes per case. The product lands on store shelves Friday.
