MLB Future Watch: Alexander Ramirez Baseball Cards, Los Angeles Angels – Alexander Ramirez was signed by the Los Angeles Angels late in the summer of 2018. The Angels had to wait until he turned 18, and they will be the first to tell you that good things come to those who wait.
In 2019, Ramirez played in the Dominican Summer League. He hit 8 doubles, 5 triples, 4 home runs, and 19 RBI with 6 steals. One positive aspect of Ramirez’s game is he plays all three outfield positions.
In 2020, Ramirez played at the alternate training site during the pandemic. When the MLB season began, he was in Salt Lake City, the site of the Angels AAA affiliate. Essentially it was a lost season of development for him.
In 2021, he started the year in Rookie Ball. He hit 7 doubles, 4 triples, and 5 home runs with 27 RBI in just 35 games. His on-base percentage was a terrific .396. Ramirez did get three steals for them, but clearly, there were more opportunities than that. He finished off the season in Low-A West. In 19 games, Ramirez had 1 triple and 4 RBI.
Ramirez moved up to the Inland Empire 66ers A-Ball in 2022. In his first 96 games and 388 at-bats, he slugged 20 doubles, 4 triples, 7 home runs, and 45 RBI with 16 steals. His walks were down, but his power was up, that’s a fair trade-off, and he was on his way to becoming one of the Angels’ best prospects.
His batting stance is odd with his feet pointing in. The bat starts above his head and then behind his neck before he sets things in motion. He has good bat speed and that’s what makes him a good hitter.
MLB Future Watch: Alexander Ramirez Baseball Cards Worth Chasing
One cool card is Ramirez’s 2022 Bowman Chrome. The card design is fresh, showing him on his follow-through after taking a hefty swing at the baseball.
His 2021 Bowman Sterling Rookie Card is fun. The card has a clean design, and the photo shows him throwing the ball from the outfield. Aside from that, the certified autograph is clean, and it has some style to it.
One last card to find is his 2022 Bowman Chrome Prospects Card. The color of the Angels’ uniform really jumps off the card, and the photo shows the look on his face after taking another big swing.
