MLB Future Watch: Allan Cerda Baseball Cards, Cincinnati RedsMLB Future Watch: Allan Cerda Baseball Cards, Cincinnati Reds – Allan Cerda was signed as an international free agent by the Cincinnati Reds in 2017. He’s now considered a bargain for the $300,000 they spent to sign him. The fact that he has power and can play every outfield position makes him a very interesting prospect in the Reds system.

In 2018, Cerda played in the Dominican League and started off very slow. He finished strong with 6 home runs, 34 RBI, and 35 runs scored. His 3 steals were something to build on as well.

He played Rookie Ball in 2019. In 39 games, he had 6 doubles, 9 home runs with 27 RBI, and 22 runs scored.

In 2020, during the pandemic, Cerda didn’t have a place to play. That happened to a lot of prospects, and he was no different. The key was to stay in shape and be ready for the 2021 season.

In 2021, he started in A-Ball and finished in A+ Ball playing for the Dayton Dragons. His combined numbers included 22 doubles, 5 triples, 17 home runs, 55 RBI, and a .250 batting average.

In 2022, Cerda started with Dayton and ended his season with the Chattanooga Lookouts in AA. His combined numbers were his best yet; 22 doubles, 1 triple, 24 home runs, and 56 RBI with 74 runs scored.

At 22, Cerda has emerging power. He has a loop in his swing that’s all power. He can turn on a fastball or wait for a curve. Either way, sending the baseball out of the park isn’t that hard for him. That must make the Reds very happy since they’re in a rebuilding phase. Cerda could find a place in Cincinnati as soon as next season. It may be at the start of the season or as a call-up later.MLB Future Watch: Allan Cerda Baseball Cards, Cincinnati Reds

MLB Future Watch: Allan Cerda Baseball Cards Worth Chasing

One card to get is his 2022 Bowman 1st Autograph. It’s a sharp design with Cerda pictured running in from the outfield. It’s a slick autograph as well so collectors should like it.

Another nice-looking card to watch for is Cerda’s 2022 Topps Pro Debut. He’s pictured in his minor league uniform. The photo is him getting ready to bat and the autograph fills the bottom.

His 2022 Topps Chrome Pro Debut shows him on another minor league team with him at bat. It’s a nice photo on a solid card.
