In July of 2021, he was traded to the Miami Marlins. A few days after, he was promoted to the big leagues. A bold move for sure. He debuted against the Yankees and hit his first grand slam against the Chicago Cubs. All in all, he hit five home runs with 19 RBI in 58 games. De La Cruz managed to hit .296 as well.

In 2022, he made the Marlins club out of camp. He played every outfield position and designated hitter. In his first 66 games, he had 9 doubles and 6 home runs with 18 RBI. The fact that he only committed three errors is very good, considering how each position differs.

The best card to get is De La Cruz’s 2022 Bowman Rookie. It shows him sending a message to the sky probably just before an at-bat. His yellow batting gloves make the card.

Another good card is his 2022 Topps Series 2 Rookie. This one is in the 1987 style, and the aging looks great. It shows him just after an at-bat wearing the Marlins grey uniform.

His 2022 Topps Heritage Rookie Card is fashioned with the Topps 1973 design. The photo shows him in their third uniform camping under the ball in the outfield. De La Cruz is very talented, and every collector should want a few cards just in case.
