The Twins signed him as an international free agent back in 2019. At that time, he was 16. Rodriguez got his professional career going in 2021 when he reported for Rookie League baseball. At the time, he played for the FCL Twins. In 37 games, he had 127 at-bats hitting 5 doubles, 2 triples, 10 home runs, and 23 RBI. He had 9 stolen bases, a .346 on-base percentage, and 31 runs scored. A solid first season.
In 2022, he was in A-Ball playing for the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels. He had 136 at-bats in 47 games. He hit 5 doubles, 3 triples, 9 home runs, and 25 RBI with 11 stolen bases and a .272 batting average with an eye-popping .492 on-base percentage and 35 runs scored.
In 2023, he reported to the Cedar Rapids Kernels in A+ Ball. He had 354 at-bats hitting 13 doubles, 9 triples, 16 home runs, and 55 RBI with 20 stolen bases and a great .400 on-base percentage. His 92 walks and 87 runs scored made this another very productive year for one of the top 3 prospects in the Twins organization according to Baseball America.
MLB Future Watch: Emmanuel Rodriguez Baseball Cards Worth Chasing
One card to get is Rodriguez’s 2021 Bowman 1st Prospects Green Shimmer. The green around the edges stands out and the photo shows Rodriguez at the plate.
Another card to get is his 2023 Panini Chronicles Rookie Signatures. The card is hard-signed, serial numbered to just 199. The way the dark background shows off the action photo is really cool.
The last card to get is his 2022 Bowman Chrome Prospects Gold Refractor. The gold is tastefully done and again, Rodriguez is shown in his batting stance. I love this card. He is a must-collect as he gets closer to making a big league debut.
