He played high school baseball at Thousand Oaks and college baseball at Grand Canyon University.

In 2021, the infielder hit .313 with 11 doubles, 4 home runs, and 29 RBI with a .440 slugging percentage.

In 2022, Wilson hit .358 with 18 doubles, 1 triple, 12 home runs, and 65 RBI with a .418 on-base percentage and a .585 slugging percentage. What a season!

In 2023, he played in just 49 games. Wilson hit .411 with 17 doubles, 4 triples, 6 home runs with 61 RBI, and an amazing .635 slugging percentage plus a .461 on-base percentage. He was named the 2023 WAC Defensive Player of the Year and a Consensus All-American. Wilson also earned All-WAC-First-Team Honors and was a Golden Spikes Award Semifinalist. After all that, he was ready for the MLB Draft.

After the draft, he started in Rookie Ball and ended up playing for the Lansing Lugnuts. The shortstop hit a combined 11 doubles, 1 home run 13 RBI with a .333 batting average and a .391 on-base percentage. He added a .970 fielding percentage. It was a solid first season as a professional.

He started the season in A+ ball again with Lansing and ended the season in AAA playing for the Las Vegas Aviators. Wilson hit a combined 28 doubles, 7 home runs, 39 RBI, and a .433 batting average with a .474 on-base percentage with a .668 slugging percentage. He was a September call-up, and made a great break into the big leagues in the team’s final season in Oakland. There, in 27 games, the rookie hit .250 with 2 doubles, 2 triples, 3 RBI and a .314 on-base percentage.
