MLB Future Watch: Travis Bazzana Baseball Cards, Cleveland Guardians – Travis Bazzana was drafted by the Cleveland Guardians 1st overall in the 2024 MLB Draft. He was the first Australian born player to be selected first overall. That’s a big achievement right out of the gate.
This second baseman played three seasons in Sydney, Australia. During the pandemic, in his final season, he hit .304.
In 2022, he played for Oregon State. In 63 games, he had 16 doubles, 4 triples, 6 home runs with 44 RBI and 14 stolen bases. Bazzana hit .306 with 58 runs scored.
He played in 61 games in 2023. That year he hit 20 doubles, 3 triples, 11 home runs with 55 RBI with 36 steals and a .374 batting average and 78 runs scored!
Bazzana is a versatile player who can play in the outfield as well. 2024 was his year. He hit 28 home runs with 66 RBI, 16 stolen bases and a .407 batting average with 84 runs scored. For three seasons in a row, he was named an All-American by Baseball America. He was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year, leading to speculation that came true about him being the first overall pick.
In 2024, he played for the Lake County Captains in A+ Ball. In 27 games, he hit 7 doubles, 3 triples, 12 RBI with 5 stolen bases and 20 runs scored. This powerful lefty has a fast bat, speed, and can hit to all fields. He can hit a high fastball out of the park, something that will suit him well when he plays in the big leagues.
MLB Future Watch: Travis Bazzana Cards Worth Chasing
One card to get is Bazzana’s 2024 Leaf Silver Prismatic. The card is serial-numbered to 185. It shows him at the plate and makes for a nice, high-tech card with a lot of silver foil.
Another great card is his 2023 Leaf Trinity Patch Autograph. Leaf jumped on signing Bazzana and got some great memorabilia pieces. They are serial-numbered to 99. His signature is interesting and clear, making this a big-time chase card.
The last limited card is his 2023 Leaf Vivid Autograph Technicolor Cracked Ice numbered to just 7! The card shows him running, and the cracked pieces on the card emit some crazy colors. This card truly lives up to the billing for this future star. He is a must-collect of the highest order.
