Moving through youth play in Germany, da Silva culminated his European stint in 2019. He competed for both Schwabing and IBA Munchen – posting 16.9 PPG and .532 FG% for the latter. Choosing to migrate to America for college basketball, da Silva ended up at Colorado.
It wasn’t until his junior season that da Silva began getting double-digit shots per game. Production followed with his increased usage: 15.9 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 1.3 APG, 1.3 SPG, 0.4 BPG, .755 FT% and .394 3% in 2022-23 and 16.0 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 2.4 APG, 1.1 SPG, 0.6 BPG, .835 FT% and .395 3% in 2023-24.
Da Silva came into the pros with strong marks for scoring at all levels, athleticism, maturity, and intelligence. Remaining aspects for tightening up include creation from outside and making it to the free throw line with greater frequency. But even at his present skill level, da Silva is becoming an integral part of what should become one of the league’s top franchises through the 2020s and beyond.
