NFL Future Watch: 2022 NFL Draft Tight Ends to Collect, Part 6 – The 2022 NFL Draft was loaded with talent. Teams are always looking for ways to improve their offense, and this time we will look at the tight ends. A tight end is a quarterback’s best friend, as well as a running back’s when he can hold a block. We mostly talk about a tight ends offensive ability, but this is a multi-faceted position.

Here are the guys to collect.

1. Trey McBride was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the 55th overall pick. He was the first tight end off the board. At 6-3, 245 pounds, he can run a 4.56 in the 40-yard dash. His jumping ability is great, and his hands may be better. He gets used in the flat like a wide receiver and when he catches the ball, he becomes a weapon that is hard to take down as he looks for more yardage. Kyler Murray will find him in the endzone for sure.

2. Jelani Woods was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts with the 73rd overall pick. What’s the best target for a quarterback? A 6-7, 253-pound tight end. He was switched from quarterback to tight end, so he understands how the offense works better than a lot of receivers. If the ball is up in the air, good luck keeping it out of his hands.

3. Greg Dulcich was drafted by the Denver Broncos with the 80th overall pick. Of the three tight ends listed so far, he may have the best quarterback in Russell Wilson. At 6-4, 250 pounds, he’s another monster to try and cover. When this prospect catches the ball, he looks like Gronk. And, when he runs for yardage, he’s like a wrecking ball. Like most young and very offensive tight ends, he has to work on his blocking.

4. Nick Muse was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings with the 227th overall pick. There were tight ends selected higher, but I chose him over a few others. His brother, Tanner, is a linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks. Muse has great hands and is a move the chains guy. He knows where the first down marker is and will do anything to get to it. Sometimes these are the best tight ends to have, because moving the chains is the name of the game.
