NFL Future Watch: Aidan Hutchinson, Football Cards, Detroit Lions – Aidan Hutchinson was drafted second overall by the Detroit Lions in the 2022 NFL Draft. This Plymouth, Michigan native was a star at Divine Child High School in Dearborn, Michigan. At high school, he played four positions: long snapper, offensive line, tight end, and defensive line. He played in the U.S. Army All-American Game, where he got two sacks.
Hutchinson decided on his hometown University of Michigan. A hometown kid playing for his hometown team. It was a perfect fit. As a true freshman, he played in all 13 games and had 15 tackles. That was a start and a way to get his feet wet.
When he got 4.5 sacks as a sophomore, his status on the field was set. Again, the prospect played in all 13 games, and he had 68 tackles.
Hutchinson played just three games in his junior campaign in 2020 and then he had a season-ending injury. With the NFL Draft coming up quickly, he had to have a big year.
In his senior year, he set a single-season school record with 14 sacks. He won numerous awards including being voted a Unanimous All-American and the Ted Hendricks Award for being college football’s top defensive end. All eyes were on him heading into the NFL Combine.
At the Combine, Hutchinson ran the three-cone drill in 6.73 secs. For a man who is 6’7”, 264 pounds, it’s incredible. It was the third fastest time ever. The other two ahead of him are wide receivers. After the combine, he became a possible first pick in some eyes.
In the HBO series, “Hard Knocks”, the charismatic NFL rookie is already making a good impression on his coach and the audience. Seeing his family watch him in his first NFL preseason game where he had some nice plays added to this continuing story.

Another nice card is his 2022 Panini Prestige Rookie. The photo shows him at the line of scrimmage. He’s in his stance ready to rush the quarterback and knock him to the ground.
One last card is his 2022 Panini Chronicles Draft Rookie. The card design has the flash and shows him busting through the other team’s offensive line. This is another card of a future NFL star.
