Loveland grew up on a farm in Bliss, Idaho. He attended Gooding High School in Gooding, Idaho where he was a two-sport star playing basketball and football. As a sophomore, he had 91 receptions and 235 in total. He totaled 3,141 yards and 35 touchdowns.
When Loveland made it to Michigan to play NCAA football, he was the 16th ranked tight end in the nation. In his freshman season, he played in all 14 games but started in just five of them. That season he had 16 receptions for 235 yards and two touchdowns. He was Offensive and Co-Special Teams Rookie of the Year.
In 2023, he started in all 15 games of his sophomore season. Loveland made 45 receptions for 649 yards and four touchdowns. Averaging 14.4 yards per catch, he was among the team leaders in receiving categories. He ended up having his career long 54 yard catch that season.
In his junior season in 2024, he played in all 14 games making 56 receptions for 582 yards and five touchdowns. That was an average of 10.4 yards per catch. He was named Second-Team All-American plus an Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a John Mackey Award Finalist.
Loveland can make a great seam catch and at times it takes 2 or 3 tacklers to get him down. He’s only going to get stronger so he will be a force in the NFL before you know it.
For a big guy, he ran a 4.7 in the 40-yard dash previously. However, he didn’t participate in drills at the 2025 NFL Combine.
