NFL Future Watch: DeMarvin Leal Football Cards, Pittsburgh SteelersNFL Future Watch: DeMarvin Leal Football Cards, Pittsburgh SteelersDeMarvin Leal was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He grew up in Converse, Texas, where he started his path to the NFL.

Leal got his name at Judson High School. He was so good there, he got to play in the 2019 U.S. Army All-American Game. Shortly after that, he committed to Texas A&M University.

In his first season with the Aggies as a true freshman, the defensive tackle had 38 tackles, 5.5 for a loss with two sacks. At 6’4”, 290 pounds, Leal will soon become a force on the gridiron.

In 2020, he had 37 tackles and seven tackles for loss with 2.5 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble. A gradual increase in production.

In 2021, Leal had 58 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. He was named a Consensus All-American and First-team All-SEC. He was ready to join the NFL, so he decided to forego the rest of his NCAA career.

At the 2022 NFL Combine, he came in at 283 pounds, so he could run faster. He ran a 5.00 in the 40-yard dash, which is good for a big man. While his 30.5” vertical with a 9’2” broad jump and 17 reps on the weight bench was impressive, it wasn’t out of this world, hence the third-round.

Heading into the 2022 season, Leal had a lot of buzz. He’s strong, and hard to hold back because his moves are good, and the Steelers feel they’ve found a solid player.

NFL Future Watch: DeMarvin Leal Football Cards, Pittsburgh SteelersLeal played in 11 games this season for the Steelers. He had four solo tackles,10 total, and three passes defended. It’s a start, and since the Steelers have a deep defense, it’s a matter of time before he breaks through. Leal is a player to be watched because he could be a big sack guy down the road.

NFL Future Watch: DeMarvin Leal Cards Worth Collecting

One card to get is Leal’s 2022 Score Reflective Mirror Parallel. It’s a cool-looking card showing him in training camp.

Another card would be his 2022 Donruss Rated Rookie in orange. It’s serial-numbered and autographed. The photo is from the NFL Combine. I kind of like that. It’s a bit different, and that’s ok with me.

One last card is his 2022 Absolute Rookie. I love the design, and it shows him in training camp wearing number 98, a classic number for a defensive lineman.
