NFL Future Watch: Jared Verse Football Cards, LA Rams – The Los Angeles Rams drafted linebacker Jared Verse with the 19th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. This 6’4” defender is 260 pounds and a force of nature. Players that big are very effective when they have great speed.
Verse grew up in Berwick, Pennsylvania and attended Central Columbia High School where he played tight end.
Staying on the east coast, he attended Suny Albany. He redshirted in his freshman season in 2020. He made 22 tackles with 10 for a loss and four sacks in four games. That was great production in a Covid-shortened season. He was named second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association plus he won the conference Defensive Rookie of the Year Award.
In 2021, he had 53 tackles with 11.5 for a loss, 9.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.
Verse transferred to Florida State University to play for the Seminoles in 2022. His first season, Verse had 48 tackles, 17 for a loss, and nine sacks.
In 2023, he had 41 tackles, 12.5 for a loss with nine sacks and one fumble recovery. For the second time, he was named an All-American, and then he declared himself ready for the NFL Draft.
At the 2024 NFL Combine, he ran a 4.58 in the 40-yard dash. That alone made him a first-round pick. He had a 10’7” broad jump and did an astounding 31 reps on the weight bench. That was a special performance that made him top of mind for a lot of NFL scouts.
In 2024, he made the Rams squad out of training camp. On a recent Sunday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles, he had four solo tackles, 3 assisted with 1.5 stuffs. After 11 games, he had 49 tackles, 28 of them solo. He also had 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass defended with 11 stuffs. So far, a great rookie season.

One last card is his 2024 Score Rookie. The card is a nice action shot of him in a game playing for Florida.
This guy is a star in the making, and all collectors should put him on their lists.
