The 6’1″ quarterback is already 24, so it’s possible he never sees the field until Aaron Rodgers makes his exit.

The West Palm Beach native was a star at the Benjamin School. He was a dual threat as a quarterback. That caught the eye of the Louisville Cardinals. After playing just three games there, he transferred to the Florida Seminoles.

2019 was his first season with Florida, but he only played in four games. He had 79 passing yards and 228 rushing with three touchdowns.

During the pandemic in 2020, he played in eight games and started in six of them. He was 72-132 with 1,056 yards and six touchdowns and six interceptions. He ran for 569 yards with seven touchdowns.

In 2021, he played in 10 games and started in nine of them. He was 122-194 good for 62.9% pass completion percentage and threw for 1,539 yards with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions. Travis rushed for 530 yards and seven touchdowns. A real dual threat.

In 2022, Travis had his best season starting 13 games and posting a 10-3 record. Now a star quarterback, he was 226-353 with 3,214 yards and 24 touchdowns against five interceptions. He rushed for 417 yards and seven touchdowns. He was named Second-team All-ACC.

He threw for a career-high 64% pass completion percentage, and he rushed for just 160 yards. Still, he had seven touchdowns, giving him 31 rushing touchdowns in his career in Florida. He was named First-Team All-ACC, ACC Offensive Player of the Year, and ACC Player of the Year. A severely broken leg took him out of the rest of the regular season, the combine, and so far, the entire Jets season.
