NFL Future Watch: Kenneth Walker III Football Cards, Seattle Seahawks – Kenneth Walker III was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks with the 41st overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. At 5’9” and 211 pounds, Walker can be tough to take down.
Walker first starred at Arlington High School in Arlington, Tennessee. During his time there, he rushed for an impressive 3,485 yards with 41 touchdowns. Then he committed to Wake Forest.
Walker spent two seasons at Wake Forest. In his freshman season, Walker rushed the ball 90 times while gaining 579 yards with four touchdowns. He had more to give.
In his sophomore season, Walker rushed the ball 119 times for 579 yards but this time the running back found the endzone 13 times. Still, there was something missing and he transferred to Michigan State University.
The football field got a lot bigger when Walker joined Michigan State. He had 263 carries, that’s a full season. He gained 1,636 yards with 18 touchdowns and averaged 6.2 yards per carry. Then he caught 13 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown. Walker won two awards. The first was the Doak Walker Award for the top running back in college football. The second award was the Walter Camp Award as the college football player of the year. He was also a unanimous All-American and a few other awards. The move was a major success, and he was now ready to enter the NFL Draft.
Walker made a splash at the NFL Combine. His 4.38 in the 40-yard dash was more than respectable and his 34” vertical was impressive. Coming off the year that he did and having this kind of performance put him on the map for a lot of teams. It was just a matter of when one would grab him.
Walker had a good camp and fans were raving about him. But like most rookies, it can take a while to get some snaps and become an integral part of an NFL offense. His first game action came in week 2 against a strong San Francisco defense. In four carries, he only gained 10 yards and his two catches netted five yards. Trust me when I tell you, he will get better and better. This was his entry point.

One nice card is Walker’s 2022 Donruss Elite Rookie. They are serial numbered, the gold is numbered to 10 and he’s pictured in his Seahawks gear.
Another is his 2022 Leaf Metal Draft card. There’s a purple ice numbered to just 15 and it shows off his compact autograph.
One last one is his 2022 Panini Mosaic Draft Picks card. It’s a shiny card with him in his Michigan State gear.
