NFL Future Watch: Marvin Harrison Jr. Football Cards, Arizona Cardinals – Marvin Harrison Jr was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the 4th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. This wide receiver is the son of a Pro Football Hall of Famer at the same position. Yet, he’s got a real chance to pave his own way without the mention of Marvin Sr.
Harrison was a four-star recruit after leading St. Joe’s Prep to three consecutive state championships. He had 2,625 yards with 37 receiving touchdowns. Harrison had eight schools to choose from and he ended up at Ohio State University.
In 2021, his freshman year, he caught five passes for just 68 yards in the regular season. However, he did start in the 2022 Rose Bowl catching six passes for 71 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-45 victory over Utah.
In 2022, he became a starter after a few games. Against Penn State, he had 10 receptions for 185 yards. Harrison ended up with 77 receptions for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was a unanimous All-American.
In 2023, he had 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns good for third most touchdowns in the FBS. For the second time in his career, Harrison was an All-American. He won the 2023 Fred Biletnikoff Award for the best receiver in college football. Then he declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.
In training camp, he impressed the team. In his first nine games, he had 55 targets and 28 receptions for 445 yards and five touchdowns. Harrison was averaging 15.9 yards per catch with a long of 60. He could be a finalist for Offensive Rookie of the Year. He has superstar potential, and all collectors should be in on him.
