NFL Future Watch: Matthew Golden Football Cards, Green Bay Packers – The Green Bay Packers drafted Matthew Golden with the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The wide receiver has a lot of talent that started back in Houston, Texas.

He was a big-time player at Klein Cain High School. There, he had 167 receptions for 3,242 yards and 32 touchdowns. Golden added 112 yards and four more touchdowns in his senior year making him a four-star recruit. Then, he settled in at the University of Houston.

As a true freshman, he earned a starting job in 2022. It took a little while but in 11 games, Golden started in eight of them. He had 38 receptions for 564 yards and seven touchdowns. The pass catcher added 116 on five kick returns. He’s a terrific athlete.

In 2023, Golden had a turf toe injury that shortened his season. In nine games, he had 38 catches for 404 yards and six touchdowns. He had nine kick returns for 321 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 10.6 yards per catch and 35.7 yards per kick return. This prospect was named to the Second-team All-Big 12. After the season, he transferred to rival University of Texas.

2024 was a banner year. He had 58 receptions for 987 yards and nine touchdowns. Golden still had time to run back 14 kicks for 285 yards. His 17 yards per catch to go along with his other statistics, put him in the upper echelon in NCAA football. Texas lost to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

Golden attended the 2025 NFL Combine and made a big splash. He ran 4.29 in the 40-yard dash and that was the second-fastest time there. He was ready for the NFL Draft and got drafted on day one.

His 2023 Bowman’s Best University Autographed Refractor is solid. The photo is in his Texas white uniform and the signature is clear.

One last card is his 2025 Sage Football High Series Silver autograph. This card has an action photo and the background is very colorful.

Golden has a lot to offer and could have instant impact with Jordan Love throwing him the ball. Don’t miss out on a potential future star.
