NFL Future Watch: Micah Parsons Football Cards, Dallas Cowboys – The Dallas Cowboys drafted Micah Parsons 12th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Now he stands to be one of the best athletes in the NFL. The Harrisburg, PA native always had star potential, but it became obvious on the HBO Hard Knocks series. By the show’s conclusion, the league was on notice.
At Harrisburg High School, Parsons was a star defensive end and running back, who also played varsity basketball. This phenom had 42 ½ sacks and a ton of tackles while he was there. Plus, he ran for 27 touchdowns as a senior. That’s when Penn State University came calling along with Oklahoma, Georgia, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Alabama.
In 2018, he was voted as a First Team Freshman All-American. He had four tackles and recovered an onside kick in his first game as a true freshman.
In 2019, he was a Consensus All-American. He was ranked fifth in the nation with 8.4 tackles per game and sixth in the nation with .31 forced fumbles. He also added the Butkus Linebacker of the Year Award, and he was the Defensive MVP of the Cotton Bowl.
Parsons opted out of the 2020 season due to Covid-19 concerns. After that, he was ready to enter the NFL Draft. On his pro day, this force of nature ran a 4.36 in the 40-yard dash. His 34-inch vertical and 19 reps on the weight bench proved to the scouts he was a first rounder for sure. Now, who was going to draft him?
In the NFL, Parsons is listed as a linebacker, but he lines up in a multitude of defensive sets. The 6’3”, 248-pound rookie had 17 tackles, 11 solo, and 2.5 sacks in his first four games. Add two passes defended, and he will only get better as the season continues and the weather becomes a factor with turnovers he will cause.

Parsons has a 2021 Panini Prestige sunburst rookie card that has a great design. He’s pictured in his Penn State uniform.
An absolute classic card is his 2021 Donruss Rated Rookie. That one shows him with the ball in his Dallas Cowboys practice gear. When the ball is in his hands, he reverts to a running back, and he’s very dangerous and hard to tackle.
If you get the Parsons 2021 Panini Certified Rookie, it has Parsons in the Cowboys training camp gear, and it’s a flashy design. The way the picture is embedded in this one makes it desirable. Parsons will be a star.
