NFL Future Watch: Puka Nacua Football Cards, LA Rams – Puka Nacua was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams with the 177th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He starred at Orem High School in Orem, Utah. There, he compiled some big numbers with 260 catches for 5,226 yards and 58 touchdowns. All are Utah state records. He was a big-time recruit and chose to go to play college football with the Washington Huskies.
In eight games with Washington, he caught seven passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns before breaking his foot and missing the rest of the season.
In the 2020 Covid-shortened season, Nacua had nine catches for 151 yards and one touchdown in just three games. That wasn’t great for his development, but he wasn’t alone. He chose to enter the NCAA transfer portal at season’s end.
In 2021-22, Nacua started in 14 of his 21 games, where he had 43 receptions for 805 yards and six touchdowns. His lengthiest was 55 yards. Nacua had 148 rushing yards with a long of 28, as well.
In 2022-23, he had 48 receptions for 625 yards and five touchdowns with a long of 46 yards. Nacua had 209 rushing yards with a long of 75 yards. After his senior season, he entered the NFL Draft.
Nacua had a pro day and ran a 4.57 in the 40-yard dash. That’s not that fast. His 33.0” vertical leap and 121” broad jump were good. And his season was good, but nothing jumped off the page.
Coming into training camp, Nacua was likely to make the team, but nobody thought he had a chance to be their best receiver. Making 10 catches for 119 yards proves he has excellent hands, is strong, and can barrel for extra yards. Nacua moves the chains, and that’s something that could see him become a hobby favorite.

One card to get is Nacua’s 2023 Leaf Draft Autograph. It’s a sharp autograph and he’s pictured in his college uniform.
His 2023 Panini Prizm Draft Picks Rookie Card is a good one to find. The design is terrific, and he’s pictured running after the catch. It’s a fun card for sure.
A burning hot one to get is his Elite Autograph Turn of the Century Rookie Card. He’s shown in his Rams practice gear, and the design makes the signature pop. There’s something about this guy, so collect him just in case.
