Hunter was heavily scouted as a junior in high school. He attended Collins Hill in Suwanee, Georgia. During his time there he played cornerback and wide receiver. He was Maxpreps 2020 Georgia Player of the Year.
In 2022, he committed to Jackson State. He played in eight games. He had 18 receptions for 188 yards and 4 touchdowns. On defense, he made 19 tackles with two interceptions for 44 yards and a touchdown. When you add a fumble recovery, you start to see how effective he can be. Hunter was named SWAC Freshman of the Year.
He committed to Colorado to play his college football. In 2023, he started in nine games. Hunter caught 57 passes for 721 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, he had 30 tackles with three interceptions and five passes defended. Hunter was named to First Team All-Pac 12 as well as Consensus All-American.
In 2024 he played in all 12 games. He had 92 receptions for 1,192 yards and 14 touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. As a cornerback, he made 32 tackles with four interceptions for a total of 65 yards. When you add in 11 passes defended and one forced fumble and you get another All-American nod, another First Team All-Pac 12 and the Fred Biletnikov and Chuck Bednarik Awards for offense and defense respectively. When you include the Heisman Trophy, then you realize how special this player is.

One card to get is Hunter’s 2023 Bowman U Chrome 1st Graded. It’s a nice card design and he’s wearing his Colorado uniform. A solid card.
Another card to get is his 2023 Leaf Draft Silver. This one has a sleek look. The photo is sharp and this card will soon be on fire.
The last card is his 2024 Leaf Metal Triple Autographs. He is the first autograph on the card and it looks good. This guy has a massive career ahead of him so don’t miss out on his early cards.
