NFL Future Watch: Zonovan Knight Football Cards, New York Jets – Zonovan Knight is an undrafted running back who is currently playing for the New York Jets. The Jets released Knight in March and signed him to the practice squad. Then he was promoted to the active roster in late October when Breece Hall was declared out for the season. The Jets did this as a depth move and it’s turned out to be a lot more than that. Knight’s story is a good one.
Nicknamed “Bam,” he was a very successful running back for Southern Nash High School in Bailey, North Carolina. Knight ran for 5,073 yards and 71 touchdowns in his time there. It’s a school record. After that, he committed to North Carolina State.
In 2019, he was a true freshman and the running back rushed for 745 yards and five touchdowns on only 136 carries. That’s a net of 5.48 yards per carry!
In 2020, his sophomore season, Knight ran for 788 yards and 10 touchdowns. Another career year for him.
In 2021, he got into the NC State record books with a 26.6-yard career average for kick returns! He’s the career yards per carry leader averaging 5.49 in his time with the Wolfpack. Knight had 753 yards but only three touchdowns.
At the 2022 NFL Combine, Knight ran a 4.58 in the 40-yard dash and had a 31” vertical. Yet he didn’t get drafted. Teams must be kicking themselves now. Good players slip through the cracks all the time, and it’s up to me to find them for collectors.
Knight made his NFL debut against the Bears this season. That was November 27th and his 103 yards from scrimmage set a team record for an NFL debut. 69 of those were rushing yards. In three games so far, he has 230 yards, averaging 5.0 yards per carry, 48 yards is his long with a touchdown.

One card to get is Knight’s 2022 Panini Gold Standard Rookie. It’s a nice gold design showing Knight working out in Jets training camp.
Another great card is his 2022 Panini Absolute Blue Spectrum Rookie. It’s serial-numbered to just 50, so it’s a limited rookie and it shows him in Jets training camp once again.
One last card to target could be his 2022 Leaf Metal Draft Autograph. He’s pictured running in his North Carolina gear and his autograph is interesting. It’s a great card of an up-and-coming player.
