NHL Future Watch: Arthur Kaliyev Hockey Cards, Los Angeles Kings – Arthur Kaliyev Could Be a Much Needed Scorer For The Kings
Arthur Kaliyev was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings with the 33rd overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. This 6’2”, 194-pound left wing has a goal scorer’s shot and some aggression. However, other teams found flaws in his game that left him available until early in the second round.
This big American-born prospect had two massive years of his three with the Hamilton Bulldogs in the OHL. His last two saw him score 95 goals and 200 points! During his last season there, Kaliyev starred on the 2020 World Junior Championship squad where he scored four goals in five games.
2020-21 was a huge year for the Kings’ future star. The winger was able to play for the Ontario 
Reign in the AHL and Team USA, once again in the World Junior Championship. He had 14 goals in the AHL and was more than a point-per-game in the tournament. Collectors are happy that he got a game in for the Kings that season, and that he scored his first NHL goal in it.
Kaliyev can get his shot off anywhere, even in tight quarters. He has , especially when you see his pro-quality one-timer. His play without the puckhas improved, and his chippy brand of defense is good. His speed has improved, and that’s possibly enough for him to have an impact in the NHL this season.
A very underrated card of his is the 2020-2021 Upper Deck Young Guns Rookie that was just released in Upper Deck Extended Series. This is a great card to get before this season starts. If he starts hot, then this card will start to appreciate, so take your chances now.
Another nice rookie card of his resides in 2020-21 Upper Deck Ovation. The textured lookof the card and him wearing the throwback jersey make this a big-time card to get. Former Kings great, Dave Taylor called this jersey color “Forum Blue,” as it was the jersey worn when the Kings played at the Fabulous Forum.
The last card has a slick look. Kaliyev’s 2020-21 HoloGrFX Gold Rookie Card that can be found in Upper Deck Extended Series. This one will be harder to get, but it will be worth it. Kaliyev is the kind of player you should take a shot on.
