NHL Future Watch: Calum Ritchie Hockey Cards, New York Islanders NHL Future Watch: Calum Ritchie Hockey Cards, New York Islanders – The Colorado Avalanche drafted Calum Ritchie with the 27th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. He’s a smart player with size and a future in the NHL. That was decided when he was drafted.

He joined the Oshawa Generals in 2021-22. He had 19 goals and 26 assists in 65 games that season. The young pivot added seven points in six postseason games.

In 2022-23, Ritchie had another great year. He had 24 goals and 35 assists in 59 games. In Oshawa’s postseason, he scored two goals and added four assists in five games. After the season, he played in the U18s for Team Canada scoring nine points in seven games. Then he played in the Hlinka Gretzky and put up 10 points in five games. Canada struck gold, a great end to his season.

Ritchie would set career marks in 2023-24. Back with Oshawa, he scored 28 goals with 52 assists in 50 games. He added 30 points in a long postseason run lasting 21 games but they lost to the London Knights in the OHL Finals.

NHL Future Watch: Calum Ritchie Hockey Cards, New York Islanders In 2024-25, Ritchie would get a seven-game NHL stint with Colorado where he scored his first NHL goal. Then he went back to Oshawa for the last time and made the most of it. Ritchie had 15 goals and 55 assists in 47 games. During that season, he played for Team Canada again in the World Juniors, but they failed to medal. In another long playoff run, he scored 25 points in 21 games. Again, his team lost to the London Knights in the OHL Final. Ritchie was a part of a big trade with the New York Islanders in March. Now he has a new address for next season.

 

NHL Future Watch: Calum Ritchie Hockey Cards Worth Collecting

One card to get is Ritchie’s 2023-24 Upper Deck CHL Future Charge Blue. The card is numbered to just 25 and he is pictured in his Oshawa sweater.

His best card is his 2024-25 Upper Deck Series 2 Young Guns Rookie. The card shows him in-game wearing his Colorado sweater which was short lived as we now know.

Another fun card is his 2024-25 Upper Deck SP Game-Used Rainbow Authentic Rookie. The card is serial numbered to just 71. He may play in the NHL next season. If not, he’s close so it’s worth adding him to your collection.
