NHL Future Watch: Egor Zamula Hockey Cards, Philadelphia FlyersNHL Future Watch: Egor Zamula Hockey Cards, Philadelphia Flyers – Egor Zamula could see some NHL time later this season. Zamula was an undrafted free agent signed by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2018. This Russian defenseman has been getting better and better every season and started as a long shot to play in the NHL; now it’s just a matter of when.

We all hear interesting beginnings for hockey players, and Zamula playing the game of hockey since the age of two is something. I’m sure he wasn’t blocking shots at that time, but it’s cool to hear.

For three seasons, Zamula played for two WHL teams mostly the Calgary Hitmen. In 158 games, he had 102 points. That’s impressive for a blueliner. During that time, he did represent Russia in the U18s and had two points in five games played.

While playing in the 2020 World Junior Championship, Zamula drew notice. He worked his way to the top power play, as a result he impressed his team and others who covered the event. His offense shone with a very accurate shot and smart passes. In seven games, Zamula finished with two goals and five points. He was voted a Top 3 Player on his team, and brought home a silver medal for his trouble.

Zamula played in the AHL for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in 2020-21. In 25 games, he had six points, and he was a +1. He did get in two games with the Flyers as well. He held his own and was close, but that’s where the summer can be a players’ best friend.

Zamula came into development camp looking like one of the best players. He was faster, smarter with the stick, and the time that heNHL Future Watch: Egor Zamula Hockey Cards, Philadelphia Flyers took to block a shot and then get back in the play was minuscule. It was Ivan Provorov-esque. As it turns out, the Flyers veteran defenseman has been working with Zamula, and it’s made a difference.

Zamula has a Young Guns Rookie Card in Series 1 Hockey. That card, from one of his first two NHL games is exciting, as it can be traced to one or two specific events.

Another rookie card to look for is Zamula’s 2021 Upper Deck Extended Series Rookie Class SE card. I love the throwback design, and that photo looks like one that was taken after a player was drafted. But he wasn’t drafted, so I’m not sure about this one.

Finally, Zamula has a card in the 2020-21 Black Diamond Relic Rookies set. This card is serial-numbered and harder to get, plus it has a piece of a real diamond on it. This player truly is a diamond in the rough.
