NHL Future Watch: Jacob Perreault Hockey Cards, Anaheim Ducks – Jacob Perreault was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks with the 27th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. Coming from a hockey family is a big plus that played into him becoming a first rounder. Still, this winger would have to prove himself like every other drafted player.
In 2018-19, he started playing for the Sarnia Sting in the OHL. He had 30 goals and 25 assists in 63 regular-season games. Perreault added two points in four playoff games as well. He made the OHL First All-Rookie Team. That was a heck of a season.
In 2019-20, Perreault was back to Sarnia. In 57 games, he had 39 goals and 31 assists. That was a massive year that assured he wouldn’t be back in the OHL. He was ready to turn professional.
During the pandemic, Perreault played in the AHL. While with the San Diego Gulls, he scored 17 points in 27 games. For a young player, those were good numbers.
In 2021-22, the Montreal native played mostly in the AHL. He scored 14 goals and 23 assists in 55 games. He got postseason experience playing in two games netting one point. The Ducks did reward him that season when he made his NHL debut. He was scoreless in that game.
Perreault didn’t make the Ducks roster out of training camp. The team gave him a look and then sent him back to San Diego. He’s only 20 and the more games that he can get under his belt the better.
Perreault is an excellent offensive player. His skating needs some work, and his defensive play is something for him to improve on to be able to get regular NHL time. When he gets it right, he could burst on the scene with solid offensive seasons.

The first card to look for is Perreault’s 2022-23 Upper Deck MVP Hockey Rookie. The photo shows him in action entering the offensive zone.
Another card would be his 2021-22 Upper Deck AHL Exclusives. The cards are numbered to 100, and he looks very sharp in his Gulls uniform. It’s a nice close-up game shot.
One last card to get is his 2018-19 Upper Deck CHL Star Rookie card. It shows him in action in his Sarnia Sting gear.
Soon collectors will be able to pick up his 2022-23 Upper Deck Series 1 Young Guns Rookie Card. Collect them all.
