NHL Future Watch: Lukas Reichel Hockey Cards, Chicago Blackhawks – Lukas Reichel was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks with the 17th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. This German winger has a chance to be a good one. The Blackhawks will let him develop the right way.

In 2018-19, Reichel dominated the Eisbaren Juniors Berlin U20. In 32 games, he had 11 goals and 31 helpers. He was the team’s leading scorer at the age of 16.

In 2019-20, Reichel had 12 goals and 12 assists in 24 games. Reichel is the type of player who can be a scorer or a playmaker. During the season, he represented his country in the U20 World Junior Championship where he had five points in seven games.

In 2020-21, he joined Eisbaren in the DEL, and in 38 games, Reichel had ten goals and 17 assists. During the playoffs, he had five points in nine games. He was even better in his second World Junior Championship scoring four goals in three games.

Reichel was busy in 2021-22. He played 11 NHL games, where he notched one point. For most of that season, Reichel lit up the AHL with Rockford. He had 21 goals and 36 assists in 56 games. After the season, he represented Germany in the World Championships and had five points in four games.

In 2022-23, Reichel will start the season in the AHL. His offense is there, and the skating is good, but his physical game and his two-way game aren’t quite there. Those things take time to develop. Considering he’s just 20 and the Blackhawks are expected to be a bad team, this is a prudent move. If he lights up the league, Reichel can get called up at any point during the season. As far as collectability, he’s a no-risk player to target.

The first card to get is Reichel’s 2022-23 Upper Deck MVP Rookie. He’s shown in his classic Blackhawks jersey, and it looks like it’s a shot of him in warmups.

Another card to get would be his 2021-22 Upper Deck AHL Card. It’s an action shot of him in his Rockford uniform. I love the Rockford logo so that makes this a great card in my mind.

One last card to look for is his 2022-23 Upper Deck MVP Silver Script Rookie. His signature is distinctive, and it jumps off the cardboard. Collectors are sure to love it.
