NHL Future Watch: Nolan Foote Hockey Cards, New Jersey DevilsNHL Future Watch: Nolan Foote Hockey Cards, New Jersey DevilsNolan Foote was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning with the 27th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. This 6’3” left wing can shoot the puck, and he’s getting closer to becoming an everyday NHL player. Foote is the son of longtime NHLer, Adam Foote. His brother, Cal, plays for the champion, Tampa Bay Lightning. Hockey is in Nolan’s blood, making him a likely keeper.

Foote was a fixture with the Kelowna Rockets. Both brothers played in Kelowna in 2015-16. Nolan had 35 points, and the Rockets went on a long playoff run. In 17 postseason games, he had eight points, a nice start for his first season.

By 2017-18, Foote was a main player on the team. The winger scored 13 goals adding 27 assists. In the playoffs, he had two points in four games.

During his draft season, Foote had 63 points and 36 goals. Foote was the top goal scorer and tied for second on the squad in total pointsBefore the NHL Draft, he revealed to me that he played all year with a fractured wrist. He gutted it out, and nobody knew since he had a pro wrist shot. He found out when the season ended. I believe this helped boost his draft stock even further.

In 2019-20, Foote missed some games but was named team captain. During the season, he had a chance to represent Canada in the World Junior Championship, leaving with a gold medal. Then he was traded to the New Jersey Devils in February in the Blake Coleman deal.

In 2020-21, Foote managed to play in the AHL for the Binghamton Devils and NHL for the New Jersey Devils.

Foote started 2021-22 in the AHL. In his first 20 games, the prospect had four goals and nine points.

The first card to target would be his 2020-21 Upper Deck Young Guns Rookie Card  that was in Extended Series. The photo shows him skating in his Devil’s sweater.

Another cool card is his 2020 Upper Deck Team Canada. The high gloss card shows his buzz cut and the maple leaf in the lower left corner. It’s a sharp-looking card.

One last card would be his 2020-21 Young Guns Clear Cut Rookie. It’s a short print card that comes in a sealed cardholder. This can be found in Extended Series as well. Go and collect this player with a bloodline. He has the talent, and soon he’ll have the opportunity.
