NHL Future Watch: Stanislav Svozil Hockey Cards, Columbus Blue Jackets – Stanislav Svozil was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2021 NHL Draft. He had a chance to play in Czechia before he played in North America.
In 2019-20, he had eight goals and 19 assists in 40 games in the U19 league. That was a heck of a season for this talented blueliner.
During the pandemic, he had a place to play in Czechia for HC Kmeta Brno, the big club. He was playing up in age and he had three points in 30 games. It was a learning experience that would help his development. During that 2020-21 season, he played in the U18s and the World Juniors.
In 2021-22, Svozil joined the Regina Pats in the WHL. He played on a team with Connor Bedard. That season, he had 10 goals and 31 assists in 59 games. That was a terrific season.
In 2022, he wore an “A” as part of their leadership group. He had his best year, 11 goals and 67 assists in 56 games. In the playoffs, he had 4 goals and nine assists in seven games. At his third World Juniors, he had eight points in seven games and took home a silver medal!
In 2023-24, Svozil turned pro and played in the AHL with the Cleveland Monsters. In 57 games, he had five goals and 18 assists. He got a chance to play in the playoffs and had three points in 14 games. At 21, it was a step up. Defenseman can take longer to develop, but there is still a lot of promise with this player. He’s worthy of keeping an eye on the next few seasons. In another year or so, he should be ready for full-time work in Columbus.
NHL Future Watch: Stanislav Svozil Cards Worth Collecting
Svozil’s best card is his 2023-24 Upper Deck Series 2 Young Guns Rookie. It’s a nice action shot of this young defenseman with that classic Young Guns feel.
Another card to get is his 2023-24 Upper Deck SPx Rookie Auto Jersey. It’s a nice card with a cool sig showing him in his Columbus gear.
The last card could be his 23-24 SP Game Used Draft Day Marks. They are serial numbered, and once again, has his autograph and that classic posed shot from the NHL Draft. It’s a nice card of a young player with some promise.
